Emergent Dialogue Practice Sessions: February - April 2024 Series

Imagine having a conversation in which everyone feels heard, all perspectives are welcomed and respected, and somehow something emerges from the collective field of Wholeness that is greater than any of the individuals could have predicted. “Emergent Dialogue Practice Sessions” offer the opportunity to co-create and practice this relational meditation as we explore possibilities for cultivating a New Story of being together in the world.

Emergent Dialogue is a form of inquiry and exploration that invites a voice that is beyond individuals and the relational We-Space. Through this practice, we access the field from which emerges deep insight, creativity and possibility. It is a space in which the not-yet-known-or-realized can be sensed and given voice.

Developed by Elizabeth Debold and Thomas Steininger, it is a practice of bringing awareness to the field of coherence -- the Wholeness of which we are all participating particulars. It is rooted in the principles of quantum physics -- that everything is connected, that Universe and all its parts are a relational space of infinite potential, evolving as a whole. Emergent Dialogue gives voice to the new possibilities and potentialities that arise when we bring attention to the inter-subjective field that we are co-creating through this evolutionary way of being together.

“In Emergent Dialogues the intelligence of the field becomes part of the conversation.  Our different perspectives cohere into a living and united creativity.”
Thomas Steininger, Co-founder, On World in Dialogue

As we are participants in a time of global uncertainty, change, and transformation, the necessity of evolving into an expanded, conscious relationship with each other has become crystal clear. In this dialogue space, there is trust in a process beyond individual perspectives and belief structures. Here, differences are welcomed as a source of creativity and expansion, rather than separation and shutting down. Sharing perspectives in this space cultivates collaboration and creativity as keys to solving the personal and global problems of the environment, mental health, cultural turmoil, social injustice, and economic stress. This practice invites us into a way of being together that brings us beyond the limitations of imagined separation and division, into a field of creativity and possibility that transcends individual perspective.

“It is proposed that a form of free dialogue may well be one of the most effective ways of investigating the crisis which faces society, and indeed the whole of human nature and consciousness today. Moreover, it may turn out that such a form of free exchange of ideas and information is of fundamental relevance for transforming culture and freeing it of destructive misinformation, so that creativity can be liberated.”
