Emergent Dialogue Practice Sessions: 2023 Spring Series

Imagine having a conversation in which everyone feels heard, all perspectives are welcomed and respected, and somehow something emerges from the collective that is greater than any of the individuals could have predicted. “Emergent Dialogue Practice Sessions” offer the opportunity to co-create and practice this relational meditation as we explore possibilities for cultivating a New Story of being together in the world.

Emergent Dialogue is a way of engaging with the co-creative field of which we are all part. Developed by Elizabeth Debold and Thomas Steininger, it is a practice of bringing awareness to the relational field -- recognizing that the space between us is actually a connection, rather than a separation. It is rooted in the principles of quantum physics -- that everything is connected, that Universe and all its parts are a relational space of infinite potential, evolving as a whole. Emergent Dialogue gives voice to the new possibilities and potentialities that arise when we bring attention to the inter-subjective field that we are co-creating through this evolutionary way of being together.

“In Emergent Dialogues the intelligence of the field becomes part of the conversation. Our different perspectives cohere into a living and united creativity.”
– Thomas Steininger, Co-founder, On World in Dialogue

Through the course of events in 2022, the necessity of evolving into respectful relationship with each other has become ever-more crystal clear. Sharing perspectives in service of cooperation, collaboration, and creativity is key to solving the personal and global problems of the ecological environment, mental health, cultural turmoil, social injustice, and economic stress. This practice invites us into a way of being together that brings us beyond the limitations of imagined separation and division, into a field of creativity and possibility that transcends individual perspective.
